Successful Saturday

Thank you to everyone who turned out last Saturday to help start our new project area.

It’s an exciting time when a new project begins but first the site had to be cleared. This included pulling up ivy roots that had spread (felt like miles of it) well into the ground and raking leaves and we filled a few wheel barrow loads.

The fencing was also started after marking out the area and making sure we were happy with the layout so good progress was made.

The weather was kind, when the sun shone is was lovely and warm.

Work Party Reminder

Don’t forget its work party day tomorrow Saturday 6th October commencing at 10.00 am. Looking at the weather forecast it looks as though it will be wet so please ensure you come along in appropriate clothing to keep you warm and dry.

We have a few jobs lined up for us so we should be kept busy.

See you in the morning!

Bird Hide Fundraising Success – Thank You for Your Support!! – 24th March 2018

Thank you so much to everyone who came and supported us yesterday and a huge thank you to the Co-Op for hosting us. We raised over £350 towards completing our Bird Hide on a very cold and dreary day. We still need further funds and hope to have another fundraising event in the sunshine! In the meantime we have cards for sale at £1 each, email us if interested on secretarythcnr@gmail.com.

Thank you Loggerheads Parish Council – December 2017

Everyone connected to the Friends of the Turner Hodgkiss Community Nature Reserve would like to thank the Parish Council for the recent grant, which was gratefully received.

The monies received will be used for various pieces of equipment essential to keeping the reserve maintained.  It will also provide opportunities for active participation on the Nature Reserve making use of this community resource for educational purposes.

Thank you from all of us.
